The Internal Medicine surgery provides examinations for the diagnosis, treatment and preventing diseases of one or several internal organs.

The surgery offers medical attendance to multiple diseases patients, as well as to some of the patients whose diagnosis is established or those who are treated firstly by specialists, providing:

• Clinical, functional and imagistic diagnosis, lungs diseases (bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy and bronchi asthma);
• Heart diseases diagnosis (hypertension/high blood pressure, ischemia cardiopathy, arrhythmia, such as fibrillation, their medical attendance and dealing with risk factors, such as dislipidemy and delaying heart insufficiency progression;
• Digestive diseases diagnosis and treatment (jaundice, chronic hepatitis, hepatic cirrhosis, ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gallbladder disease);
• Urinary tract infections;
• Anemia syndrome diagnosis;
• Rheumatic diseases diagnosis: rheumatic polyarthritis, gout, collagenosis (lupus, scleroderma), vasculitis; treatment and attendance.

• Electrocardiograms;
• Echocardiography;
• Functional respiratory tests.
